Crochet Techniques: Finishing crochet pieces — Tying last 6 (or 7) stitches

For the example, I show how to finish the nose for this giraffe, but this clean finish can be used for all crocheted pieces. When you have 6 (or 7) stitches left, cut the yarn and pull it out of the last loop:

 Insert the hook in the front loop of the next stitch (going in clockwise direction), the hook is pointing away from the centre of the opening:
 Yarn over and pull the yarn through this front loop:

 Insert the hook in the next front loop:

 Yarn over, pull the yarn through this loop and insert the hook in the next front loop:
 Continue until you pull the yarn through all 6 (or 7) front loops:

 Insert the hook into the head and out of the opening:
 Yarn over and pull the yarn inside the head; pull the yarn end to tighten:
